Dear Mother
I received your letters this morning. If anyone else has got to come to camp be sure & tell them not to bring more than they can help. The only things they need is shaving set, boot set, brasso & the clothes they wear. These should be as light as possible, because when we shift camp we have to carry everything from the camp to the station including all our military clothing, rifle, etc.  I am posting a parcel home of what I dont need to make my load lighter, because we may shift camp again any time.

Friday 12/1/17
Posting parcel of clothes home tonight. We must keep one suit in case we are thrown out.  Work here is getting harder every day Trentham was a picnic compared to this. Re P Parcels they will be delivered here. the same address as letters.
