Dear Mother
I have received a NZ mail, a tin of biscuits from Vic, and a tin of chocolates from you since writing last.

Letter from you 29-6-18. Glad to hear Vic is shaking himself free of the outfit,- wish I could. Thanks for the Peter Pan photo. You ought to be looking a good deal happier than that on the strength of having such a successfully lead swinging family.

Letter from Gorrie 23-6-18. It was short on account of the weather and contained very little news except Vic’s being discharged, and Ben missing the ballet, both of which things might have been expected from a fighting family like ours. There is nothing more, I think.

We had our first cold morning this morning. I wish the war would only be considerate enough to end before the winter.

Yours
Neil
