The following letter is dated 25th July 1917. \u00a0It is from the New Zealand’s High Commissioner’s Office. It’s on a \u00a0“Dominion of New Zealand” letterhead showing NZ’s coat of Arms. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dear Sir,
\nIt has just been reported to me that you have arrived in hospital in this country, and I sincerely trust that, with the skilled attention and care that you will receive, you will make rapid progress and completely recover.<\/p>\n

As I receive may enquiries by cable and letter from New Zealand, concerning our lads in hospital, I should be glad to receive, upon the enclosed postcard, the name and address of your next of kin, so that it may be recorded by me for future reference.<\/p>\n
