\nWhile I was at Walton this heather was sent in for any Scotchman who might be in the ward, but as no one seemed to be scotch, I took a bunch myself and I am posting this home on the chance that it might keep. \u00a0I was with Norman & Neil in London yesterday. \u00a0They went back to Sling last night.

I understand that Neil & Norman do not expect to go to France for a long time yet, but they are not certain. \u00a0The three of us went to the opera yesterday. \u00a0Norman would like about three months in London. \u00a0They both came up here on Thursday & I got a special pass to go in yesterday. \u00a0I will be here for another 10 days & then I will have leave, about 18\/9\/17 & if the others are still at Sling when I get back from leave I will be able to go there from Codford.<\/p>\n
