Dear Mother
We were told tonight that we will go on the ship on Monday but we may not leave New Zealand without an escort unless they account for the raider.  I am sending you a couple of broaches, one similar to my badge.  The parcel will also include my watch as I have my wristlet, and the other Dad can have.  Any letters posted after the 10th will probably be 2 months on the road and must be addressed to G.P.O Wellington
