Hornchurch 8/9/17
While I was at Walton this heather was sent in for any Scotchman who might be in the ward, but as no one seemed to be scotch, I took a bunch myself and I am posting this home on the chance that it might keep. I was with Norman & Neil in London yesterday. They went back to Sling last night.

I understand that Neil & Norman do not expect to go to France for a long time yet, but they are not certain. The three of us went to the opera yesterday. Norman would like about three months in London. They both came up here on Thursday & I got a special pass to go in yesterday. I will be here for another 10 days & then I will have leave, about 18/9/17 & if the others are still at Sling when I get back from leave I will be able to go there from Codford.
