Dear Mother,
I have been on the sick list with a touch of high temperature and general upset for the past week. It is nothing very serious and I dare say that I shall be out of hospital again very shortly.

I was surprised to read in my last letter from Dad that I had been reported as admitted to hospital with fever on 26th Feb. That was altogether incorrect and the cable no doubt refers to one of the later attacks that Neil had.

I have had one or two letters from Neil lately and I was just beginning to think that we would be able to get into touch with each other again when I was sent to the hospital myself. I suppose that it will be sometime now before I get any letters again. The last letters I had from home were 10th and 17th March so they took just about two months to get across here. Don’t worry about me as I shall soon be alright again and fit as a fiddle again.

Cheerio
